Youth Engagement for Local Action

Youth engagement is a central part of community development and is paramount to strengthen programming, services and supports that fit the needs of all community members. The Equal Futures Network believes that the voices, experiences and knowledge of youth are integral in providing robust exchange of resources which contributes to deepening our partnerships and strengthening our collective work to advance gender equality and social justice.

On September 17th, 2021 from 11:30 am – 1 pm EDT join young leaders and youth changemakers for a dynamic virtual session to discuss key challenges impacting meaningful youth engagement at the community, regional and national levels. Through discussion, participants will have the opportunity to share how they are contributing to meaningful change in their communities and provide input into what meaningful youth engagement and inclusion means to them. This dialogue will help shape the future direction and co-creation of a roadmap for meaningful engagement with youth.

This is your opportunity to connect and build relationships with other youth leaders across Canada advancing gender equality and social justice.

Together, we can better share and exchange resources, explore new opportunities for growth, build new partnerships and find innovative ways to strengthen our collective work in order to drive progress around gender equality from coast to coast to coast.

Guiding questions for the discussion will be circulated after registration.

This event will be presented in English with simultaneous translation available in French.
