LGBTIQ Human Rights in India – An International Panel

This discussion is on the topic of LGBTIQ human rights in India today and is co-presented with Pride Winnipeg and ASAAP (the Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention). It will be broadcast at 5PM Central / 6pm Eastern on Wed Sept 8 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4eEt4yNQ24&list=PLkn19nDX0oWtTPjD0ytx23v270eG0YXI4&index=7

Homosexuality was only decriminalized in India in 2018 and there is a huge, diverse and growing LGBTIQ human rights movement across this country of 1.4 billion people. This will be a fascinating panel with four interesting activists: Sonal Giani, a well known filmmaker and diversity & inclusion specialist in Bangalore, Anish Gawande, who runs Pink List India, which engages LGBTIQ-supportive politicians in India, Kalki Subramanian, a transgender activist and writer from Tamil Nadu, and Manvendra Singh Gohil, Crown Prince of Rajpipla.
