Harm Reduction And Two-Spirit, Trans, And Non-Binary Activism

An event in honour of Trans Day of Remembrance with special guests Davey Francis Cole & Faith Alexandra Marie.

Davey Francis Cole (they/them) is a community organizer/harm reduction advocate and part time drag performer. They are one of the founding members of Bannock Babes which is an all Indigenous Drag collective as well as a party planner and event coordinator for QPOC Winnipeg. They are a Two Spirit non binary queer who is one of the programing coordinators at Sunshine House , a drop-in and resource centre focusing on social inclusion and harm reduction in Winnipeg. Davey was previously the Director of an overnight youth safe space for several years. They are actively involved in various community orgs and initiatives promoting social justice, community care and land back.

Faith Alexandra Marie (they/them) wishes to politicize their experiences with substance use, challenge the moralizing history of sobriety culture while unraveling the limited representations of the addicted body. For almost the past 15 years, they have worked as an artist, grassroots community organizer, writer and social worker. Faith is a mixed race non-binary Dyke of Filipino, English and Irish descent. Faith is a Co-Founder of Pieces to Pathways, a peer-led substance use support program for queer and trans youth ages 16 to 29 years old located at Breakaway Addiction Services in the Parkdale area of Toronto. Currently, Faith is tattooing full-time in a private studio in Toronto.
