Unveiling The First Canadian Economic Abuse Prevention Mobile App

We are thrilled to invite you to join us for an empowering event as we launch our groundbreaking Mobile App “STEAR,” the first Canadian mobile app dedicated to providing centralized support for domestic Economic Abuse survivors and service providers.

The event will discuss the pivotal role played by this innovative tool in promoting financial autonomy and resilience for survivors of domestic Economic Abuse.

About STEAR App

STEAR (Support Tool for Economic Abuse Recovery) is a free, easy-to-use web and mobile app that centralizes safety, financial, and legal information for women who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and Economic Abuse. The app aims to be a one-stop-shop for victims of Gender-based Violence (GBV), connecting them with appropriate resources to help rebuild their economic security during an abusive relationship or post-separation. This app includes a short questionnaire that will help guide users to the appropriate resources according to their situation. STEAR will fill a gap for IPV victims and survivors to access vital resources on Economic Abuse.
