Queering the Compass

This project aims to promote sexual and reproductive health within and by 2SLGBTQIA+ communities by improving the capacity of healthcare professionals who serve them. In this training, we hope to address gaps in services and help empower professionals in offering inclusive care.

Recognizing the diversity of factors that determine healthy sex and reproductive lives for 2SLGBTQIA+ people, we will cover topics numerous topics identified as essential by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The topics that will be covered in this session of Queering the Compass are:
– Abortion is Queer Reproductive Justice
– Fat Liberation is Queer Reproductive Justice
– Queerly Growing Older

Date and Time: March 9th, 9am – 5pm with a 1 hour break for lunch
Location: Zoom (Link will be provided closer to event)
Cost: FREE!

Certificates of completion and gift card (in lieu of in person lunch) provided for those in attendance.

This training is available to current service providers as well as those in training. Service Providers can be anyone delivering direct medical, paramedicine, or social services to the community. If you are not sure you apply please just ask Emily (wellness@ppnlshc.com or 709-579-1009).
