OCTEVAW Meet & Greet

Curious about the future of OCTEVAW? Want to meet the new Executive Director and learn more about how you, or your organization, can get involved in creating violence-free futures?

What is the purpose of the event?

Join us for an afternoon of connection and engagement with Ottawa’s gender-based violence sector where you will get the opportunity to meet with Yami, OCTEVAW’s recently on-boarded Executive Director, members of the coalition’s network, and folks currently working to advance the GBV movement. The GBV movement has been a powerful voice for change and accountability within Ottawa’s change-making communities. Come on out and learn more about OCTEVAW’s key advocacy goals for 2024 including planned projects. We would love to meet you!

The event is being hosted at Chnge Mker Hub (44 Byward Market Suite 270) on Thursday March 14 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Light refreshments will be available. Available space is limited so we ask that you please register in advance.

Accessibility: We recognize that accessibility means different things to different folks. We strive to make this event as accessible as possible but if there are ways we can support you while you are attending this event, please let us know in advance. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions and allergies as food will be present. Questions? Concerns? Please reach out!

We ask that you please wear a mask to this event and we encourage folks to stay home if they are not feeling well.

Gender neutral washrooms are on site. Unfortunately, this space is not wheelchair accessible.

About OCTEVAW: OCTEVAW is a network of gender-based violence organizations located on the unceded territory of the Anishinabe Algonquin people. Learn more about our work here.
