Legal Drop In

The Women’s Support Network of York Region (WSN) and Community Legal Clinic of York Region (CLCYR) are happy to host free, virtual, monthly spaces for York Region community members to access free legal advice.

*Please note that this service is limited to supporting people residing in York Region, Ontario.

A paralegal from the CLCYR will be taking individual, private appointments in this virtual space. The paralegal will be present to answer your legal questions, provide legal advice, and referrals if needed. Some areas of support that may be covered include but are not limited to family law, housing and tenant rights, sexual violence, and more.

Each individual will have 30 minutes to privately speak with a lawyer from CLCYR. Please note space is limited and appointments are scheduled on the hour or half-hour between 4-7PM on the date of the session. The last appointment will be taken around 6:30PM.

Please note: In order to ensuring we are creating space, participants may only access the Legal Drop In every other month, and not for ongoing services – if folks require ongoing services, a referral will be made to the Community Legal Clinic of York Region. Additionally, this drop in is limited to serving folks in York Region, Ontario, Canada. If you need extended legal services, you can contact the Community Legal Clinic of York Region by calling 905-508-5018 or toll free at 1-888-365-5226.
