HER BUSINESS – International Women’s Day Community Event
Hosted by GOOD TO BE GOOD, a nonprofit with the mission of advancing gender equity, the Her Business community event will showcase local small businesses and entrepreneurs owned, built, and managed by women and gender-diverse people to rally support for their ventures and inspire a collaborative approach to economic empowerment and inclusive futures.
This International Women’s Day event will highlight a variety of small businesses and entrepreneurs in Toronto, including growing and new product and service-based companies and entrepreneurs from GTBG’s Change Make-Her social program, where you’ll have the opportunity to connect, learn, and build new bridges.
Join us Sunday, March 5th at 5:00 pm EST at the Drake Hotel in celebrating and empowering women and gender-diverse people from all walks of life using the power of connection, equity, community, and joy. Enjoy a variety of displays and presentations in a “farmer’s market style,” delicious appetizers, refreshments from Barbet, live music, and uplifting IWD speeches and stories throughout the fun-filled evening.
This event is FREE, with an option to donate to the organization at the door and open to all genders over the age of 13. The space has limited capacity, so we ask guests to RSVP through this Eventbrite link or RSVP by email to Mecca at mo@goodtobegood.ca.
MORE ABOUT THE EVENT
Her Business is a hybrid of a “trade show style” and community event. We focus less on “bodies in booths” and more on fostering meaningful conversations between guests and showcases and supporting the person or the changemaker within the journey. We encourage anyone with an interest in gender equality to attend the whole event.
