Gender-Based Violence in the Media – for Journalists and Advocates: Launch event

Join Aura Freedom and collaborators at the Globe and Mail Centre in Toronto for an informative event focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the media. This event is designed for journalists and GBV advocates who are passionate about promoting change.

During this in-person gathering, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from industry experts in both the journalism and GBV sectors. Through engaging discussions and a presentation of Aura Freedom’s new media guidelines for journalists, we will explore the role of media in addressing gender-based violence, the challenges faced by journalists reporting on these issues, and the efforts of GBV advocates to promote responsible and transformative reporting in Canadian media.

By attending this event, you’ll gain valuable insights, expand your network, and be part of a growing movement dedicated to combating GBV through the power of media. Join us for learning, sharing and celebration!
