Exploring Survivorship & Healing Through Art: Sacred Rage Paint & Poetry

The Women’s Support Network of York Region has various experiences in hosting art-based workshops for survivors. We know that art can be a mechanism used to facilitate recovery and healing!

This event will include a presentation on how art therapy can support survivors of sexual violence in their healing journey followed by a guided expressive art circle session. If you would like to do art to heal the heart, please bring whatever art mediums you desire to use for the session (e.g., knitting materials, clay, paint, etc.) Also, be sure to have a pen, paper, and any writing aids handy!

This event will be held online, participants will have an opportunity to submit their art to be shared in a virtual art installation later in the week (Friday, May 19) on our social media platforms.

Attend our event and enter the raffle draw to win a gift card of choice!

This event is open to all members of the community. Please mention any support needs you may have when registering (childcare, language or ASL interpretation etc..)
