Incubator on Menstrual Equity
Menstrual inequity affects people all over the world, including people in Canada. There is a critical need to address this issue because menstrual equity is an integral element to achieve gender equality for all. Period poverty, taboos and stigma and lack of adequate sanitation infrastructure are just a few examples of how menstrual inequity undermines the health, rights and wellbeing of individuals across Canada.
In the lead-up to Menstrual Hygiene Day, join the Equal Futures Network on May 14, in our inaugural Incubator session where we unpack these inequities with organizations from across Canada to brainstorm ideas, share challenges and forge a way to move forward. In partnership, we can eliminate industry silos and regional disconnect to create a collaborative and unified collective working to advance equality in menstrual health and hygiene management across Canada.
