Free training to youth-serving organizations
The SAFER project, through the generous support of Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) will provide free training to youth-serving organizations, across Canada. The focus of the training will be on ways to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.
The trainings will occur between February and March, 2023. The training will be held regionally in person with a modified online session available. Registration is FREE and is required to participate (please fill out the details below). There will be a maximum of 20 participants for the in-person sessions, and a maximum of 50 participants for the virtual sessions. Due to limited space, we may be required to limit participation to one (1) individual per organization. Sign up below and we will contact you if you’ve been selected to participate. Registration for each session will close 1 week prior to the event. Please ensure you sign up early so as not to miss out on this opportunity. There is no funding available to support travel, lunch will be included for the in-person trainings.
To ensure a safer environment for participants in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, everyone will be expected to wear a mask at the in-person sessions except for while eating or drinking. If you are feeling unwell during the day of the event please stay home.
