Moderated by Wisdom2Action’s Executive Director Fae Johnstone, this panel brings together leaders in Canadian trans activism and rights: Florence Ashely, Niko Stratis, Jade Byard Peek and Kai Cheng Thom.

Anti-trans hate is on the rise in Canada. Leveraging strategies and tactics imported from the UK and US, anti-trans groups in Canada are mobilizing on an unprecedented scale. With increasing collaboration between anti-trans groups and white supremacist, racist, and far-right movements, our response must be equally coordinated and cross-sectoral. Governments, civil society organizations and activists all have a role to play in addressing anti-trans hate and violence in Canada.
